What this site collects, and what it doesn't

The short version

You can read everything here without telling me who you are. There are no accounts, no paywalls and no forms that demand your details. I run analytics to see what people read, and if you subscribe to the column I keep your email address for exactly that. That's the whole picture; the rest is detail.

The newsletter

If you put your email into the subscribe box, it's stored with Resend, the service that sends the column. It's used for the column and nothing else — no marketing lists, no sharing, no "partners". Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you; you can also just reply and ask, and I'll delete you from the list myself.

What gets collected automatically

Two analytics tools run here, the same ones most sites use:

Google Analytics — which pages get read, roughly where in the world from, and which link brought you here.

Microsoft Clarity — anonymised session recordings and heatmaps, so I can see where a page confuses people. Clarity masks what you type by default.

These set cookies. If you'd rather not be counted, Google's own opt-out add-on covers Analytics, and your browser's tracking protection or private browsing keeps the rest out. Nothing here fights back against an ad blocker.

Who else is involved

This is a static site on Cloudflare Pages, so requests pass through Cloudflare's infrastructure. Booking a call happens on Cal.com, and messaging me uses WhatsApp or LinkedIn — each under its own privacy policy, as you'd expect. The column itself is published by The Morning; reading it on their site is between you and them.

I don't sell data, I don't run ads, and there's nothing here to "monetise" you with.

Getting anything removed

Email ammarbusiness097@gmail.com and ask. Whether it's your newsletter address or anything else you've sent me, I'll delete it and confirm once it's done. You don't need to give a reason, and depending on where you live you may have these rights by law — I'd honour the request either way.

Changes

If this site starts collecting something new, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it.
